What's the difference between 'ginger' hair and 'reddish blonde'??(awww, drawing new characters is fun but perplexing a bit-- I'll work it out tomorrow!^^;)

Unless I'm mistaken, 'ginger' refers to any shade of red hair. As for shades, 'auburn' is that deep, dark red, 'reddish-blonde' or 'strawberry blonde' is a very pale red. Like my cousin Tutu! Alas, her sister Vern has the unfortunate 'carrot' shade, which is really quite orangey-red. Have you seen the comedian Carrot Top? He's definitely got carrot-red hair. I'd say the guys who play Fred and George Weasley are the 'reddish blonds'. The gal who plays Ginny would be 'auburn', although maybe not quite dark enough. Stephanie Powers was a good example of auburn, but you may be too young to remember her. A google search of her would turn up some photos, however.

Ah, thank you thank you!!! Really, I was to paint 'reddish-blonde' in quite orangy-color! Now I'll go search the photos for reference. Once again, I appreciate your thorough advice!!:-D
