Drabble: "Homeward Bound, Nowhere To Go" (H/D)
Title: Homeward Bound, Nowhere To Go
Word Count: 100
Warning: Angst
Challenge: hd100's promt: "home"
Disclaimer: JKR owns them, and so the following is merely my fantasy as always.
A/N: First-person POV; Not DH-compliant

On the day I met you, I asked, "where are your parents?"

You answered, "they're dead."

At that time I didn't know who'd murdered your parents.

But when my people killed your godfather, I certainly knew that we took your family, your home, away this time again.

So when your people slew my parents and demolished my home, part of myself felt it befitting for my guilt over you.

Now the war is over and I'm standing beside you, like that day at Madam Malkin's.

I say, "we lost everything."

You reply, grasping my hand, "we still have each other."
